Interested in cartomancy and want to interpret the cards you drew with the Belline Oracle? Kinthia, card reader and psychic, shares all her knowledge, tips and secrets about the Belline Oracle: from its origins and the makeup of the deck to the interpretation and meaning of every card in it.

Made up of 52 cards (plus the blue card, which some readers use and others don’t), this beautiful Belline Oracle comes to us from Edmond, a 19th-century seer. It was saved from the flames by Belline, also a seer, who fell in love with the deck at first sight and made it widely available.

I read cards very often, which means I draw cards from the Belline Oracle to get answers, and I have to say I adore this divination deck. It was love at first sight…
Psychics use this deck a great deal to read the future during a psychic reading. The cards of this Oracle are easy to interpret thanks to their universal symbols. But be careful: every interpretation is different. It depends on where the cards fall, on the cards around them, and also on the subject of the question.

All the cards of the Belline Oracle are usually divided among the 7 traditional planets (astrological families), in this order: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. I’ll explain everything in detail so you can understand the why and the how!

How the Belline Oracle Cards Are Organized

  • The first three cards are not linked to any planet.
The Blue Card, Destiny (1), the Man’s Star (2) and the Woman’s Star (3)
As a result, they hold a different place from the other cards. They can be added to or removed from a divination deck. It’s up to the psychic or medium to decide whether or not to use them.
Personally, with my experience and expertise, I set these Belline Oracle cards aside. To me, they don’t necessarily enrich an interpretation. The other cards are enough to give me a clear view of the message to pass on to the querent.
  • Cards with an astrological family
The other cards then give the reading a distinct coloring. If the forces are balanced, they hint at the tone of the events foretold. If, on the contrary, one family shows up more than another, that planet takes center stage and markedly amplifies its force.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of the Sun
Cards 4 to 10 (Nativity, Success, Elevation, Honors, Friendly Thoughts, Countryside-Health, Gifts) are all linked to the Sun. These cards open the Belline Oracle deck, so they hold a very important place in it.
They warm up a reading whose colors are duller or more monotonous. They shine through the positive message each card carries. These cards point to the querent growing on solid ground in different areas of their life.
The querent can resolve conflicts alone, or with the help of caring people around them who reflect their own personality. They are not alone.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of the Moon
Cards 11 to 17 (Betrayal, Departure, Inconstancy, Discovery, Water, the Penates and Illness) are carried by the Moon. The Moon is inevitably connected with the world of emotions, the subconscious, everything hidden that will be brought to light by being drawn out. We are subject to these invisible forces and must adapt accordingly. Sometimes they poke us right where it hurts.
These cards also affect the subtle world of sensations and intuitions. They speak to us about our relationship with our own subjectivity and our inner world.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of Mercury
Cards 18 to 24 (Change, Money, Intelligence, Theft-Loss, Enterprise, Trade and News) fall under the planet Mercury.
Mercury is the very planet of communication, of flowing exchange, of speed. Everything is in motion and needs harmonizing. So Mercury acts as the messenger, allowing the parties to communicate and move forward well toward a constructive outcome.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of Venus
Cards 25 to 31 (Pleasures, Union, Family, Love, the Table, Passions) are under the influence of the planet Venus. Venus is the planet that invites beauty, sharing, the very essence of well-being and harmony. Well aspected, she invites the querent to sensuality and pleasure. She is the expression of emotions at their strongest, in their power to bond, to attract, to hold sway, but never to excess. Venus is the planet closest to the state of mind of the Epicureans, who live from day to day.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of Mars
Cards 32 to 38 (Malice, Lawsuit, Despotism, Enemies, Negotiations, Fire and Accidents) are under the aegis of the planet Mars. The color red was not chosen by chance.
The cards ruled by Mars are linked to strength, combat, aggression, the dominant pole. It’s as if Venus were showing off her beauty and Mars were flexing his big muscles to win her over. Everyone answers seduction as best they can!
The cards linked to Mars are quite strong and need to be channeled. When too many of them appear in the same reading, they suggest that poorly channeled force could turn against the querent. So the querent will need to stay watchful about the power of Mars they are learning to handle. It won’t be easy, and the querent certainly won’t be bored.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of Jupiter
Cards 39 to 45 (Support, Beauty, Inheritance, Wisdom, Fame, Chance and Happiness) are placed under the sign of Jupiter.
Jupiter is a planet marked by well-channeled strength and by the opportunities for expansion it promises the querent. It promises success through intelligence, and the arrival of fulfillment. All the querent’s positive emotions will be strengthened by the positive nature of the forces flowing from Jupiter. Beautiful moments lie ahead.
  • The cards linked to the astrological family of Saturn
Cards 46 to 52 (Misfortune, Sterility, Fate, Grace, Ruin, Delay and Cloister) are frightening, and with good reason. The color gray was not chosen by chance. Saturn is very far from the Sun and so catches very little light.
The querent will therefore go through a tunnel that leaves them feeling helpless. Their patience will be sorely tested. They are not necessarily on the wrong path, quite the opposite: it’s just that their road is strewn with obstacles, and it’s through perseverance, patience and self-sacrifice that they can achieve something. But it won’t come easily. Sometimes the querent may decide the game isn’t worth the candle, and then they’ll turn back.

Belline Oracle Card Meanings

Here is the traditional reading of all 53 cards of the Belline Oracle.

The Blue Card
Personally, I don’t use it. It stands in for another card. That said, if you add it to a deck, it acts like a joker, meaning you can start from scratch and begin all over again. Some read it as a symbol of calm, of positive renewal.

1 – The Key
It shows that we have a choice: nothing is written, it’s up to us, masters of our own destiny, to act. But now it’s time to act, to think carefully about the different paths open to us, and to choose the best one. The time has come. It’s as if the querent held a set of keys and could choose one door rather than another. They don’t know in advance what world they’ll find behind each door. Some paths are blocked, winding, dead ends, while others are bright and full of wonderful encounters, and so on.

Through this card, the Belline Oracle wants to show that it’s up to the querent to make the necessary decisions, rather than rely solely on a divinatory message. It’s a choice to make in all conscience, weighing the pros and cons. No one else can make the decisions the querent’s life calls for. Nor should they look outside themselves: the answers are already within them.

The Key card puts the querent back at the very heart of their own life. They are the one acting. So it’s up to them to decide for themselves, rather than trust other people’s opinions. The Oracle then advises them gently, but sends them the subtle message not to wait for the Belline Oracle to choose for them or to steer them toward one path rather than another.

2 – The Man’s Star
Usually placed above a spread, it represents the querent. Or else, if you use it, it announces a man’s influence in a woman’s reading. Depending on the cards around it, you’ll learn more about who this man is. This card can therefore be covered with another to refine the interpretation. The surrounding cards and the position of this card in a spread will complete its meaning.

3 – The Woman’s Star
It represents the female querent. Once again, if you use it, it symbolizes the presence of a woman, announcing a woman’s influence in a man’s reading. Just like the previous card, you need to study where this card sits in the spread (is it in opposition? Or favorable?), and look at the surrounding cards to complete the interpretation. It can also be covered to gather more details.

4 – Nativity
This is the beginning, the start, the origin of projects. You’re starting a project, a work, a life… It brings happy events if you’re hoping for a baby. + card 47: wasted effort. Very often, this card announces that a new cycle is about to begin in the querent’s life. There’s freshness in this card, a kind of candid, almost naive state of mind. The querent doesn’t yet know what this new start holds, but they certainly want to write the most beautiful lines of the chapter ahead.

If this card comes up in a reading about a possible pregnancy, it is read as a clear sign of pregnancy… If the Change card is also drawn, the reading points to a pregnancy coming very soon, with every chance of beginning under the best auspices.

5 – Success
An excellent card. You can expect to see your projects succeed. It’s the fulfillment of all your efforts, the reward, the outcome: you’re reaping the fruit of all your efforts, and about time too. Nothing clouds this sky. It’s perfection, at last…!

The querent can therefore expect to see their project completed. The crowning of their project is total. They couldn’t get more. They can, however, congratulate themselves on this success. They have brought their projects safely to port by putting in all the energy they could muster.

So if the question is about a project in progress, it goes without saying that all the signs are green for everything to come together for its success.

6 – Elevation
You rise little by little, you go further, you improve your current situation, you make progress. It’s also an excellent card for love. Indeed, the Elevation card shows a pyramid whose foundations are solid enough to let the work continue.

In short, if the question is about commitment, everything suggests that the querent’s foundations are solid enough for them to hope for a stable, lasting relationship. There’s a real desire to settle down and pursue a quest (inner or otherwise), to reach for the heights.

7 – Honors
Your worth is recognized. You come to the forefront. People are talking about you. Your work is rewarded by the sudden recognition it brings. The querent’s superiors recognize their professional qualities and offer them, among other things, the chance to lead other projects with a team to manage. Responsibilities will fall directly to the querent.

Be careful all the same, because Honors shows two sticks: there may be a lack of flexibility. Rigidity is not good when it’s pushed to excess. So it’s up to the querent to keep their strength in check. You can be a respected leader by managing a team well.

If the question is about a romantic relationship, more care is needed. The sticks show a person who sets the bar quite high in love. They know what they want and what they don’t. But there’s a risk that this person will lock themselves into a pattern: they want their love life to mirror their expectations. As a result, they force their partner into a role. Over time, they risk distorting their partner’s true nature, leaving the partner no choice but to fit the image imposed on them. In the long run, the relationship risks turning sour. The querent needs to rethink things as soon as possible and understand that love isn’t the pursuit of Nirvana. Happiness in love can simply be small everyday gestures full of magic: kind attentions, gestures, glances…

8 – Friendly Thoughts
Someone close to you comes to help. This person expects nothing in return: they’re simply there to help. You’re being supported.

The querent can therefore feel reassured, because the people around them are positive, caring and even protective. They are surrounded only by people who wish them well. That’s important enough for the querent to remember.

In a love reading, it’s more friendship that comes through, in a relationship marked by loyalty or even admiration. The balance is uneven. One of the two has taken the upper hand over the other, who ends up almost intimidated, no longer really daring to take an equal place in the relationship. They don’t dare to speak up.

On the professional side, a selfless person could give the querent an unexpected boost. The querent should remember that this timely help will open doors, and thank this person properly when they step in at the right moment.

9 – Countryside-Health
The time has come to rest, to recharge, to let time do its work. You’ll get back on your feet. It may mean time off work (especially if the card appears with the Penates (16)).

It points to a physical distance, chosen or not, between two people. This distance doesn’t necessarily mean a breakup, but rather a legitimate need to take stock, to take the time to get back to what matters, and to get closer to nature, which will meet the querent’s needs.

The querent needs to take better care of themselves. It’s better, then, to step away from the hustle, the noise and the city, to find themselves again and know what they want to move toward. Rest for body and mind comes first.

On the professional side, things are very quiet, and/or a break from work is announced. It’s time to recharge your batteries.

10 – Gifts
Expect plenty of presents, gifts that seem undeserved at the time. People are thinking of you and letting you know it. More precisely, depending on this card’s position, it may be about gifts to give or to receive. The two are completely different, because either you’re being generous (giving) or you’re receiving. We rarely receive by chance: what we give to others comes back to us in another form.

Through this card, the Belline Oracle invites the querent to be generous in both cases. You reap what you sow.

It can also hint at a potential encounter that will be a kind of “gift from heaven,” an unhoped-for meeting that will bring the querent real happiness. It’s a very good omen for the querent.

In a career reading, the Gifts card can hint that the professional future is very bright, and money may flow freely. The querent will find many benefits and rewards. They should accept an offer that will take them far. It’s a good omen too.

Meanings of the Belline Oracle Cards Ruled by the Moon

11 – Betrayal
The chances of success are compromised. Bad luck is with us. Our interests may not be as positive as we thought. Some people may make verbal offers without wanting to put anything in writing. Don’t they say that promises only bind those who believe in them?

The querent runs a serious risk of being deceived, betrayed by someone who won’t keep their commitments. This person may have lied to them, for example.

When the question is about the body, the Moon calls on the unconscious. So, in this context, everything the querent hasn’t digested and dealt with will come back like a boomerang. The shock could be violent. The querent’s body might start to “speak,” as people say. They might feel it in their back (the weight of carrying too much), in their stomach (a recent event that’s hard to digest)… The querent’s body seems to have a mind of its own, and they feel they’re no longer in control. They need to let it all out quickly and get everything off their chest.

For a romantic relationship, the Betrayal card is anything but encouraging. The querent will have to ask themselves why they were deceived and decide what to do about it.

As for a career question, this card suggests that either the offer won’t happen (it will stay at the stage of words), or it will trap them.

So, before signing anything, read the fine print carefully and look at the commitments made and the options if the contract is broken. It’s better to ask a specialist for advice so the querent knows what they’re getting into. In any case, this is not in their favor.

12 – Departure
There will be a lot of moving around: trips are on the way. + card 15: a trip abroad is in the works.

The trips shown still stay within a fairly close radius of the querent. They’re “a short hop away.”

If the querent is looking to move house, this card suggests their plan may get started or come to fruition, all the more so if the Change card (18) comes up.

If the querent is wondering about leaving, a transfer or a new position, everything suggests these changes will indeed happen.

In a question about love, this card announces a desire to head for new horizons that better suit the querent’s hopes. Something is falling into place so that the long-awaited new cycle matches their current aspirations more closely.

13 – Inconstancy
You have doubts, you no longer know where you stand. You need to step back and avoid rash decisions. Words aren’t owned up to, and mistakes are made.

The time has come for the querent to pause along the way. In this situation, how can anyone make a decision when the wind keeps shifting like this?

It goes without saying that the querent’s circumstances are too unsettled. Their questions are also endless, which in the end fuels this process of instability. The querent needs to stop dithering and putting themselves in a difficult position. It’s time to let go completely and leave it all in the hands of fate.

Some doubts are sound, but this is closer to mental torture.

So the querent needs to find a way to settle down, because living with so many questions can be disastrous for quality of life.

14 – Discovery
You’ll make a lovely discovery that will have consequences for the future. Or else someone is spying on you: you’re being watched.

The querent may want new discoveries to break the monotony they’ve shut themselves into. It’s about surpassing oneself, going further, pushing past one’s limits.

In the end, the querent has what it takes to exceed their goals, learn more and even surprise themselves. On the professional side, they might, for example, want to move into another field. In love, information comes out indirectly, which makes it possible to see the situation from another angle. Everything that was hidden ends up being revealed. From now on, the querent’s view is broader and complete.

From a spiritual point of view, it’s a sign that the querent can set out on a quest and turn to sacred studies. Astrology stands out as something to learn.

15 – Water
Everything that comes from abroad, from outside, will reach you. + card 38: flooding, shipwreck, drowning…

The querent is in a lucky period. It’s also a good omen for their career as well as their love life.

It may also mean a trip near water, whatever its size: lake, sea, river, stream… This trip in the sun will be restorative for the querent, who will come back calmer and more at peace. They’ll see more clearly and will know better how to navigate their life.

Water is also closely linked to femininity and intuition. The querent may therefore enjoy a favorable period in which their energies come back into balance. Intuition could return in force, so the querent should pay attention. They could receive information from the invisible world through premonitory dreams or subtle intuitions.

16 – The Penates
You adopt a strategy of withdrawal, retreating into yourself, your family, your relationship. You also close yourself off in your work.

The querent has shut themselves in a tower where only one door and one window open onto the outside world. There’s probably a passing need to feel protected within four walls, to move forward calmly in a supportive, enclosing environment. It may be about shyness, a strategy of withdrawing into oneself in order to “feel better.” As long as this moment passes, there’s nothing to worry about.

Finances are well protected and the budget stays balanced. There’s nothing to worry about.

On the professional side, the foundations are definitely there, but there may be a lack of openness, a timidity that would be worth fighting in order to expand. After all, alone on a desert island, it’s hard to do business.

17 – Illness
In its traditional reading, nothing pleasant is on the way: a health setback, a moment of malaise… You need to look after yourself. + card 48: a serious ordeal, + card 49: things take a turn for the better. A card never replaces a doctor’s advice.

It’s about something rather sudden that falls on us out of nowhere, which doubles the element of surprise.

The querent then has to stop dead. They have no choice. They find themselves like prey in the claws of an animal far more powerful than they are.

In love, there may be cause to fear either someone smothering you with their possessiveness, or a very sudden love at first sight. Still, it’s wise to stay alert.

On the professional side, be careful what you say at work. Someone could pull the rug out from under you. You could fall from a great height. Ill-intentioned people could sabotage you. Protect your data as much as you can.

Meanings of the Belline Oracle Cards Ruled by Mercury

18 – Change
The wheel turns: you’re entering a new phase, good or bad. You can make changes in your life.

This is the card you want to see in a reading about moving house.

You need to adapt to the changes that will soon be falling into place. If the querent tries to fight them, they’ll regret it, because the world will keep turning without them, and they’ll have to work twice as hard to win back their place.

In love, the querent adapts and communicates. They’ve found the right approach. If they want a child and this card comes up, the stars hint at a rounded shape on the way… If they don’t want a baby, caution is advised.

On the professional side, it may mean a job transfer. A new cycle is underway that will require real adaptability from the querent.

19 – Money
Wealth is on its way: intellectual wealth, financial wealth, children… You also reap what you’ve sown. New possessions come your way…

The Belline Oracle also wants to make the querent aware that money can burn a hole in their pocket, and that the instability that comes with it is very harmful. Indeed, the querent may go through phases of abundance (lots of encounters, lots of projects, lots of emotions, spirits sky-high…) and then, at another moment, the scales tip and the other extreme takes over (few encounters, low spirits, little desire…). Staying in this situation for too long, the querent will end up literally losing their way. It’s time to ask the right questions and find real bearings.

This card also speaks of finances, which is very clear both from its title and from the symbol of the horn of plenty. It may mean a significant sum of money coming in, which could be simply a salary as well as an unexpected windfall (a gambling win), a profitable investment or an approved loan, for example.

20 – Intelligence
You educate yourself, you learn again, you read, you broaden your knowledge…

On the professional side, it’s a good time for competitive exams and training. Anything written is favored. The querent’s intellectual background is highlighted. They have solid foundations. Administrative procedures may be on the agenda.

The querent is invited to write, which also helps put their thoughts in order.

In love, the querent tries too hard to protect themselves and so moves away from the world of emotions. To be loved and to love, you have to accept that emotions may pass through you. And in that case, they only pass through. This is probably a defense strategy on the querent’s part, trying to protect themselves from emotions that may have hurt them before. But carrying on like this is not a good strategy. Emotions are meant to be lived and felt.

21 – Theft-Loss
You fall from a great height. You pay for the damage. You trusted someone who abused that trust. + card 23: shady deals, + card 35: assault, theft…

The Belline Oracle invites us to limit travel as much as possible, because it may point to theft or fraud. So watch out for pickpockets. Check that you’re properly insured and that your accounts are being properly monitored.

The time has come to be perhaps a little less nice, to bare your teeth in self-defense, especially at work. Someone could deliberately deceive you or steal your work. Nothing illegal will do you any good. Worse, you’ll be made to pay for it. Be watchful and more wary. Don’t give your trust too quickly: your trust is earned, not handed out right away.

In love, what was hidden could rise to the surface. A third person may come and stir up trouble in your relationship. The atmosphere is unwholesome, and you probably need to look for some answers.

22 – Enterprise
New projects are in the works. What was planned is gradually taking shape. Negotiations, real estate deals on the agenda… + card 32: a trap

It may also be about small jobs around the house: decorating, rearranging, minor DIY…

On the professional side, the querent is advised to take the time to build their project, to go step by step, to let it mature. The Belline Oracle states that the time to take action has not yet come.

In love, you can’t say feelings are overflowing. It’s more the sign of a couple built on intellectual and spiritual affinity.

23 – Trade
Money is circulating. You invest your money + card 19: worthwhile investments.

On the professional side, the querent won’t have a minute to themselves. They’ll have to roll up their sleeves, because this period looks very busy. Communication is key: contacts will be worth making to grow their network and expand professionally. This card suggests that many projects can be set up and carried out in a fairly short time.

In love, the Belline Oracle invites you not to focus on what divides you as a couple. Differences aren’t something to tear down every time. On the contrary, they can be a source of richness. A couple who are too alike will lose their individuality, and with it sensuality and desire. Too much fusion is never good.

24 – News
You’ll very soon receive mail, or a call you weren’t expecting. Usually, this news arrives within 3 days. It can come as a call, a letter, a text message. This card can be covered for more information.

The message of this card is “seek and you shall find.” Your questions will therefore rightly find all the answers they need.
This cycle will feel fairly quick and smooth.

Meanings of the Belline Oracle Cards Ruled by Venus

25 – Pleasures
This is happiness, joy, nothing to complain about. Everything matches your desires. Energies are flowing rather well.

On the professional side, the querent works in a fairly harmonious setting. They’re lucky enough to work in an environment that drives them and always keeps them interested. They do what they love. They’ve found their place. If they’re looking for a career direction, the Belline Oracle advises them to turn to a field that is their passion. They need to work in a field that interests them: routine is probably not for the querent, who needs to be stimulated.

In love, it may be a relationship with little chance of becoming serious. There’s indeed a wish not to think about tomorrow and simply enjoy the present, without asking more questions. The motto is Epicurean: “live every day passionately, and we’ll see about the rest later.”

The querent needs to simply feel good, happy, fulfilled, in tune with themselves, without overthinking.

26 – Peace
A period of calm and serenity. But be careful, because this peace isn’t won for life. It requires constant effort from the querent. It won’t be easy. In a way, the Belline Oracle says that the climate may well calm down thanks to a solution that will be found, but that solution isn’t meant to last either. In short, it’s just putting a bandage on a gaping wound. You’ll have to look further to find a real, lasting solution.

So the querent can rest assured: a situation will be resolved so that relations can calm down. But it will require more effort in a second phase.

27 – Union
Partnership, relationship, wedding, marriage. + card 30: a wedding invitation, + card 50: divorce, breakup

So it’s the sign of a powerful moment awaiting the querent.

On the professional side: it may mean a partnership or an association on the way. Love may even find its way into the querent’s working life. They never do things by halves.

In love, the querent will experience a friendly, joyful moment of celebration. It could be an engagement, a christening… So the querent should accept any invitations that come their way, because they’ll be able to enjoy a climate full of love and joy. In any case, the bonds of love are very strong, and it would be truly unwise to try to undo them.

If the querent hasn’t found love yet, this card is read as the sign of a decisive encounter that could change their life forever… It’s very powerful. And if the querent is going through a troubled time in their love life, they can take heart: there may be moments when their path seems to separate from their partner’s, but they’ll always find each other again. Love will always be the force that guides the querent, whatever happens.

28 – Family
Bonds of the heart, of blood, of the mind are favored. It can also represent a company or an association.

On the professional side, everything suggests that the atmosphere is positive enough and open to development and steady growth. Finances are sound and rather prosperous. It’s a good omen too.

It’s very often within their closest circle that the querent draws love and strength. The querent’s family is like their engine. That’s where they feel best. They need the love of those close to them to find answers to their questions. Everything flows. The importance of family is clearly suggested.

It’s as if the querent needed to be mothered, or to place their family under destiny’s protective wing.

The querent may also see their family grow, either through a pregnancy or through the arrival of a new partner.

29 – Love
Love and affection are on the agenda. The bonds are powerful. + card 33: rivalry in love

On the professional side, the atmosphere is sound and balanced. The querent is like a fish in water. All is well. They do what they love and find complete satisfaction in it.

In love, there isn’t necessarily the rush of passion, but rather the building of a couple who want harmony, with a positive wish to build together, and without rushing. Both partners are mature and don’t want to get ahead of themselves, as if life had taken care of making them mature in this respect.

30 – The Table
Invitations, meals, outings around a table: in short, good company. + card 17: harmful excess

In their working life, the querent may find themselves defending their ideas around a table. There may be negotiations and deal-making. So the querent will need to prepare. It’s the archetype of the job interview. People will want to know what the querent knows and how they express themselves out loud. The querent is being watched closely, while they prepare carefully to convince their audience. They hold all the cards to succeed, provided they’re well prepared.

So the querent will find themselves invited to a celebration. Watch out for the risk of overindulging at the table.

So the querent should enjoy this moment of good company. In love, it could mean moments of reunion and closeness. Bonds grow tighter and could even lead to being celebrated around a table for a more specific occasion: a civil union, a wedding…

31 – Passions
Love affairs, bonds, infatuations and enthusiasms take on their full meaning. + card 34: harmful, degrading passions.

So the querent may go through a period of disturbance, in the sense that the atmosphere will be “heated.” Many interests will be at stake, which won’t allow for discussions free of hostility. The querent may feel a kind of urgency. They’ll have to try to calm everyone’s ardor so as not to make overly risky decisions, because a decision made in the heat of emotion isn’t always the best one.

From a romantic point of view, the querent may feel torn between head and heart. They should step back to find the right decision more easily. The querent is going through a period where everything seems to come at once and emotions are magnified tenfold. It won’t be easy to get through this rather unsettling cycle. The querent might then be tempted by an affair, or by a passion that defies explanation.

It will probably be necessary to find out why the querent seems to be turning away from their relationship in favor of another person, who seems to promise a break from routine and the chance to fully live sensual experiences.

Meanings of the Belline Oracle Cards Ruled by Mars

32 – Malice
A spiteful, jealous, envious person is among the people around us and is causing us various problems.

The querent will then need to decide what they want: either to stop this person in their tracks, by cutting ties with them for example, or not to react to the sly attacks of this person, who seems to want to throw them off balance. Responding to the attacks would almost be like giving credit to this person’s actions. They’re uncomfortable in their own skin and just want to pass on their unease.

On the professional side, the querent doesn’t only have friends. The atmosphere is murky and no one will do them any favors. Better to stay on guard and wait for better days.

On the romantic side, the querent may, without realizing it, be aggressive with their partner. The querent then passes their tension and irritation on to their partner, who in turn becomes defensive. Then it escalates. This tension needs to be addressed quickly and compromises found.

33 – Lawsuit
You’re in a rather difficult situation: dialogue is hard, even impossible, because of the people clashing. To reach an agreement, you’ll need to arm yourself with patience. The two parties are opposed and will struggle to find a fair balance. If neither party gives ground, the conflict will drag on. There may also be misplaced ego, just to avoid giving in to the other. It’s a sign of immaturity.

On the professional side, the querent will face a party that is rigid and allows little flexibility in its approach. The querent will have to work with that. Conflicts involving management could also break out, and in their position, the querent will bear the full brunt of these disagreements, even though they aren’t primarily concerned by them personally.

On the romantic side, the querent will have to soften their stance and accept not having the last word. The goal isn’t to prove to the other that they’re the best. On the contrary, the querent needs to show that they’re ready to make concessions to find a good way out, meeting halfway, 50/50. No one finds any good in conflicts that drag on, except those with a pronounced masochistic streak.

34 – Despotism
You find yourself tied down, with no freedom: you’re imprisoned. You don’t understand how you got here. You’re in a period of illusions and false judgments.

The querent’s position is complicated. They’re almost resigned and have completely given up. They’ve lost the fight and stopped struggling. They’re waiting for fate to decide for them.

On the professional side, the querent is clearly no longer fulfilled. They just carry out orders, and nothing else is asked of them. Over time, the querent has lost the meaning of their work, which no longer satisfies them at all. They no longer know what to do. They feel drained of all substance.

In love, the querent is gripped by dread. Patterns from old relationships may resurface and poison things. The querent has something like irrational fears, including the fear of being abandoned. They haven’t resolved everything that was weighing on them. As long as they don’t stop to truly face these fears, the fears will keep holding them back and dragging their spirits down. A formerly toxic bond hasn’t yet been cut and needs a real break. A misleading pattern needs revisiting. What belongs to the past must be put back in its place, settled, filed away and archived.

35 – Enemies
Beware of enemies, of possible attacks, of incidents. Our enemies are out in the open.

These enemies don’t come from just anywhere. They don’t fall from the sky for no reason. It may be that we knowingly acted badly, or that we were misinterpreted, or simply misunderstood. In any case, it’s necessary to put things into words and make ourselves better understood. The accounts don’t add up and need to be reviewed with a clear head. A third person may be having fun sowing discord to hurt the querent where it hurts most.

Also be careful not to speak in anger, because once something hurtful has been said, it’s hard to take back. If the querent feels overwhelmed, it’s better for them to clear their head. They’ll speak more calmly later, when they feel ready.

36 – Negotiations
Discussions such as conferences and interviews will be arranged. You need to prepare for them and defend your ideas so you’re heard.

The querent may find themselves either acting as mediator in a conflict (family, work, love), or having to ask a third party to come in and settle a conflict. It’s time to clear the air and say everything that’s wrong, putting all the cards on the table. It will be hard, even wrenching, because questioning yourself is never easy. But without this confrontation, the querent will be stuck and unable to move forward calmly. Something will keep spinning in their head. From this difficult moment, light can break through.

A decision will necessarily come out of it: either you pick up the pieces, or you call it quits here and now.

37: Fire
Fire can take different forms: a person’s temperament, a debate that turns aggressive, and so on.

The querent seems subject to a higher force. Their head is down, focused only on the road just ahead, which keeps them from seeing clearly what’s going on. There’s a lot at stake, too. Either someone is enjoying keeping the querent’s head underwater, or a situation is keeping them from regaining real freedom. To their credit, the querent is asking questions. A way out must be found.

On the professional side: it’s better to postpone a deadline and wait for the situation to become clearer. There are many obstacles on the querent’s path.

On the romantic side: stepping back is the best advice in this situation. Things aren’t clear and power struggles may erupt. They’re merely the result of a situation in which aggression has taken hold.

38 – Accident
A time of destruction, collapse, projects coming to an end. But you have to tear everything down to rebuild, so let’s keep hope! + card 37: fire, lightning, electrocution

On the professional side: the querent couldn’t go any further. So destiny is giving them the chance to rethink things. This isn’t about overhauling everything from top to bottom, but about revisiting the latest additions that weren’t well thought out.

In love: a storm has rumbled, and in anger words were spoken, sparking a real conflict that escalated into a tsunami. The querent hasn’t crossed the point of no return, but the anger was so overwhelming that the damage is done. So it’s up to the querent to decide what they want next.

39 – Support
A powerful person will be able to help us: they’ll be our support, our protection.

On the professional side: the querent will be lucky to meet such a person on their path, someone who wants to give them support, notably by opening up their network of contacts. The person who will be such a great help holds a well-placed position in the hierarchy.

In love: the querent probably needs to feel supported, held by destiny’s protective wing. This need for protection will be expressed and will make perfect sense.

40 – Beauty
Your projects will come true one way or another: you reach success, completion. At last you have what you’ve been waiting for so long. You flourish.

It opens outward the way a rose does, to shine and spread its beauty. This card is the very sign of full blossoming. Vitality is there. Everything is in harmony. It’s a time favorable to shining. The qualities of heart the querent should develop for life are loyalty, faithfulness and nobility of heart. Heaven always thanks those who vibrate this way by opening the doors of bliss to them.

It’s a very beautiful omen.

41 – Inheritance
Our past and our heritage come back to the surface. You may also receive gifts, or even an inheritance in the literal sense of the word.

The very meaning of this card is “sow and you shall reap.” If the querent sows nothing, they can’t be surprised by how poor their harvest is.

It’s also probably time to leave the past where it belongs, that is, behind the querent. It shouldn’t be there like a ghost coming back to haunt them.

If the question is about a current relationship, it goes without saying that the querent is doing nothing to help it flourish or to enrich it. Over time, the quality of the bond crumbles. All the more so when one or both of them do nothing to prevent it.

42 – Wisdom
We use our intelligence. We think things through, and there’s nothing to fear.

On the professional side: the querent’s merits are rewarded. Their superiors naturally trust them. They’re a hard worker who never gives up. Their intellect is much sought after.

In love: the querent knows how to sense their partner’s needs and so can always charm them. They probably need the reassurance of seeing that others can still fall for their charm. The querent adapts the way a chameleon does, and knows how to be creative.

43 – Fame
You’ll find yourself in the spotlight: people are talking about you, you’re appreciated. You don’t leave people indifferent.

Everything to do with social media, websites, forums (etc.) is sought after. The querent is looking for answers to their questions. They can turn to these media for testimonials, help and advice. They’re not alone.

44 – Chance
An unhoped-for helping hand from destiny is about to appear. Luck is on our side. We get out of trouble easily. + card 50: big gambling losses

The querent can count on luck’s support in this cycle. For that, they’ll have to open their eyes and watch for the signs of Destiny. So if they think of someone and run into them a few days later, there’s a good reason that the querent needs to discover. Opportunities will be placed on the querent’s path. It’s up to them to go toward them and take action.

45 – Happiness
Nothing but happiness ahead.

On the professional side: the querent can rejoice, because the Happiness card announces an event that will bring much joy, bliss and fulfillment. Success is handed to them on a silver platter. So the querent should enjoy this prosperous period, as if they didn’t necessarily need to work themselves to the bone to get what they want. Enjoy it, because this period won’t last forever either.

On the romantic side: happy news is on the way. The querent will be over the moon. Others may not necessarily understand this happiness, but it doesn’t matter. It’s a very good omen.

46 – Misfortune
Bad luck strikes in every area: it follows us around. You have to let things be and wait for it to calm down.

The querent shouldn’t fool themselves. If they’re in this situation, it isn’t just bad luck. They made choices that led them to where they are now. So it’s up to them to think about the why and the how, and to figure out how to get back on the right path.

On the professional side: finances may be difficult. Rather than sinking deeper into a situation that could get even worse, it’s better to ask for outside help. There’s no use in being too proud. One day you get help, and another day you’ll be the one helping in turn. Everyone goes through difficult times.

In love: the querent can’t keep blaming others for leaving them or for not loving them enough. They simply made decisions that weren’t the right ones. Yet all is not lost. It’s up to them to do a little soul-searching and see whether they’re unconsciously repeating scenarios that always lead them to the same point of failure.

47 – Sterility
You reach a point where everything is in vain: there’s nothing more to be done. You have to take another path so as not to remain in illusion, in the dark and in the thickest of fogs. It’s a dead end. A difficult period lies ahead.

On the professional side: all the querent’s efforts lead nowhere. There’s no point trying to force destiny. When it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be!

On the romantic side: either the querent decides to remain in illusion, lulled by lies, or the querent decides that it may be time to take back control of their life and see the truth as it is. Even if it’s unpleasant to live with.

48 – Fate
You reach your own limits. You have to face facts: it’s the end.

It’s very often the sign of the end of a cycle. In some readings, it can even point to death. This card reminds us that life isn’t eternal and that we should make the most of every moment.

On the professional side: it’s harvest time, while keeping in mind that it’s simply the end of one cycle and the start of another. You couldn’t have gotten more. It’s time to move on, with no regrets.

On the romantic side: it may mean a breakup. It could be either final or on hold. In any case, the querent will live through a rather complicated situation, in fits and starts.

49 – Grace
The only positive card in this group: we were at a dead end, and now, by a lovely stroke of luck, we’ve found a way out. Our prayer has been answered: we’ve been heard.

It’s by agreeing to let go that a positive turnaround can happen. In any case, the querent couldn’t do anything more. All they could do was trust in providence for the situation to unblock by itself. Sometimes, there’s no need to ask any more questions. It works, and that’s what counts, right?

Card 50 – Ruin
A period of failure, of bankruptcy. Everything collapses: perhaps this ruin was foreseeable from the start, since the project was poorly planned.

Disappointment follows, and that’s only natural. It’s simply that the querent couldn’t go any further. From this bitter acknowledgment of failure, financial difficulties may arise. It’s time to move on.

Light can break through these difficult moments. We always learn more through adversity.

51 – Delay
Another period of waiting and patience. Projects are blocked.

The querent shouldn’t try to force the doors of destiny. It doesn’t work. A blockage is definitely present, and the querent has no choice but to wait for it to clear without their intervention. The blockage may be administrative or due to human error.

The querent will probably suffer during this delicate time, but they can tell themselves it isn’t meant to last. Look at the Hanged Man card in the Marseille Tarot: the man simply waits. He is resigned. There’s no point spending energy for nothing. In this case, the querent can turn inward and take stock within themselves. They’re capable of transforming this delicate moment of imposed patience into something positive.

52 – Cloister
You withdraw into yourself, you shut yourself away. + card 17: hospitalization, + card 46: a retirement home or prison. + card 26: love sacrificed. You give up, you’ve had enough.

On the professional side: it may mean work in an enclosed place or work that’s too routine. The querent has somewhat lost their way.

On the romantic side: the querent has isolated themselves from everything and everyone. They don’t feel like doing anything. They no longer know what to do. As long as it passes, this moment isn’t dramatic in itself. It might be wise to explain to the people around the querent that they need to be alone to find themselves again. Overthinking doesn’t necessarily help, but clearing your head can keep you from brooding forever.
