The Kinthia collection

Amazonite Jewelry

Amazonite is named after South America’s great river, though no deposit is known there, and amazonite jewelry doesn’t need that legend to appeal. Its pale sea green, veiled with white clouds, calls to mind a cold sea more than a tropical forest. It’s linked to frankness in conversation, and to the balance between what you say and what you listen to.

The Kinthia notebook

A stone, a style,
your story.

A few pointers to find what feels like you.

A feldspar between green and blue

Amazonite is an opaque feldspar, in a green that leans more or less toward blue depending on the stone. Fine white streaks often run through it, sometimes crossing into a faint grid, which sets it apart from other green stones. Polished as a cabochon, it takes on a soft luster. Faceted, it comes more alive.

Frankness and listening

Its card ties it to sincerity and harmony in dealings with others: saying what’s on your mind without drowning out the person across from you. It finds its place when an important conversation is coming up, or simply as a reminder that you can be frank without being harsh.

Engraved bands, flowers, and beads

Here you’ll find wide rings with an engraved band, flower-shaped rings, rings where amazonite shares the space with other colors, beaded necklaces with a pendant, and a few bracelets. Its watery green goes as well with a gold-tone setting as with a silver-tone finish.

With pink, orange, or purple

It pairs very well with rose quartz, orange aventurine, or amethyst, and several pieces already bring them together. As a gift, it will please someone who likes green but not loud colors, or someone getting ready for a conversation that matters.
