The Kinthia collection
What people sometimes take for a flaw, a darker vein, a milky haze, a tiny crack, is often the signature of a natural stone, and natural stone jewelry is full of these. Tiger’s eye, rose quartz, amethyst, or labradorite are worn here as rings, bracelets, necklaces, or earrings. It’s up to you to find the stone, then the piece, or the other way around.
The Kinthia notebook
A few pointers to find what feels like you.
A natural stone formed in the rock with no human intervention, before being cut and polished. That’s what explains its irregularities, and why two pieces of the same design are never exactly alike. Some stones do get a helping hand, though: dyed to deepen their color, heated to change it, or reconstituted from fragments held together by a binder. There’s nothing deceptive about that, as long as you know.
Two paths lead to the right piece. The first starts from color: the one you already wear, the one that flatters your skin, the one you simply want. The second starts from an intention, whether protection, love, confidence, or calm, and from the stones linked to each one. The two often end up meeting.
Bracelets are the most numerous, followed by rings and pendants, then necklaces and earrings. Each type has its own page, with its styles and tips for choosing. Palm stones, pyramids, and singing bowls, for their part, are filed under decor.
A natural stone is still a stone: the softer ones scratch against harder ones, and some don’t like water or household cleaners. Store them separately, take them off to swim or clean the house, and wipe them with a barely damp cloth, unless their product page says otherwise.
