The Kinthia collection
In pairs, but never identical: that’s the rule with natural stone earrings, where one carries an extra vein and the other a slightly lighter shade. These small differences are the mark of a material no mold can reproduce. Dangling teardrops, rings, hoops, and small round stones all find their twin here, give or take a few details.
The Kinthia notebook
A few pointers to find what feels like you.
To make a pair, two stones are chosen as close as possible, with the same shape and the same tint. The small differences that remain are the mark of a natural stone. Some stones are reconstituted: chips of stone bonded together, which allows more regular shapes and colors, and jasper often lends itself to this.
Drop styles let the stone swing below the lobe at the slightest turn of the head. Studs, more discreet, set it right on the ear, and hoops circle the lobe. There are also asymmetrical pairs that combine two different motifs. Shapes range from the teardrop to the ring, from the cutout circle to the moon, by way of the mandala.
You’ll find them in stainless steel, silver, silver-plated, or gold-plated, and some are nickel-free, a point to check on each product page. As for stones, you’ll come across tiger’s eye, rose quartz, black onyx, and amethyst, as cabochons or teardrops.
Earrings are chosen for the person’s style more than for the stone. A small round stone suits someone who already wears a lot of jewelry, a dangling teardrop someone who likes a detail that catches the eye. And for a first gift, a quiet color, black or pale pink, is a safe bet.
