The Kinthia collection

Rhodochrosite Jewelry

Rhodochrosite jewelry speaks of small kindnesses more than grand declarations. Its deep pink, sometimes leaning toward salmon, is crossed by fine pale ripples that look as if they’d been brushed onto the polished stone. People read love into it, and a taste for simple joys: a kind word, a coffee brought to you unasked, a shared laugh.

$59.00

Bright blue, powder pink, ocher, and soft green take turns along the two strands of this necklace worn close to the neck, where blue decorative beads slip in between jaspers and agates.

A stone, a style,
your story.

A few pointers to find what feels like you.

Tenderness in small doses

Love, joy, and tenderness, but on an everyday scale: the small gestures you barely notice that are still enough to brighten a day. It’s about learning to savor them, and to return them, without waiting for a big occasion.

Its ribbons give it away

Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate, a more or less intense pink depending on the stone. You can tell it by its almost white pink ribbons, wavy and sometimes concentric, which give some beads the look of striped stick candy. Softer than most stones used in jewelry, it prefers to be stored on its own.

Mixed with other pinks

On bracelets, it often meets stones from the same palette, rose quartz or rhodonite, sometimes lifted with a little amethyst or white. Some designs wrap several times around on a leather cord, while simpler ones are strung on elastic cord, sometimes with a charm. A few necklaces carry these soft tones further.

For saying thank you

It lends itself to gifts that need no excuse: a thank-you to a neighbor, a kind gesture for a coworker going through a busy week, a birthday you remembered. Its pink loves white, light gray, and silver-tone jewelry, and doesn’t need a dressy outfit to be worn.
