The Kinthia collection

Jasper Jewelry

You look at a piece of jasper jewelry the way you’d study an old hiking map, with its contours, its patches, and the lines you trace with a finger to guess at a trail. Ocher, brown, brick red, or muted green, the stone always stays opaque. It’s connected to patience and to a bond with the ground, a stone for moving forward without hurrying, one step after another.

The Kinthia notebook

A stone, a style,
your story.

A few pointers to find what feels like you.

Opaque, earthy, never the same

Jasper is a very fine-grained quartz, made opaque by the minerals it holds: they give it its reds, ochers, greens, and patterns. The Greeks already called it iaspis. Polished, it takes on a soft luster with no transparency, and every stone carries patterns you won’t find on any other.

Landscape, red, and aqua terra

Landscape jasper shows patterns you’d think were seen from a plane, and it’s tied to imagination as much as to the earth. Red jasper speaks of constancy and determination, of what you build without rushing the steps. Aqua terra jasper blends tones of soil and water, and people see in it the idea of keeping your bearings without growing rigid.

Necklaces, sets, and pyramids

Here jasper appears in multi-strand chokers, where it alternates with other stones, in seven-chakra sets, where red jasper often opens the series, and in a few objects to display, such as orgonite pyramids.

Jasper and agate, two cousins

A close cousin of agate, jasper naturally pairs with it, as well as with amazonite, which freshens it up. It appeals to people who love walking, the earth, and fall colors. For a gift, choose a pattern rather than a color: it’s the stone’s design that catches the eye first.
