    Three crowns of petals

    It’s from the mud that the lotus draws its flower, and yet it opens spotless above the water. Hinduism and Buddhism turned it into the sign of an awakening mind. On the medallion, three circles of petals unfold one behind the other around a domed center, while the cut-out background lets the daylight through. A flower to remind you that nothing keeps you from blooming, not even hard ground.

    A stoneless medallion, all raised detail

    With no stone, it lets its raised layers do the work. The 16 mm medallion hangs from a 45 cm chain, and an extender, 5 cm long, gives it some play. The whole piece is gold-tone and nickel-free. Donata translates from Latin as “given,” and a lotus is often laid down as an offering. It will go to someone who meditates, or who’d like to try (everyone starts somewhere).

    Kinthia was born in 2006, with a website and a forum devoted to clairvoyance and the divinatory arts. A family story, carried by passing things on and sharing.
